The Weaver Family Webpage: Long Time, No Blogging!

Sorry to everyone for being MIA for quite some time! It seems that life continues to get more and more hectic. We've had lots of fun happenings the past two months (Easter, Apple Blossom, trip to DC, and more!), so I will try to catch everyone up without writing a novel.
Let's skip back all the way to Easter. Addison absolutely loved Easter this year! She was really into egg hunting and lucky for her, she got to do about six egg hunts on Easter Sunday. We had one at our house, one at Ganny's house, and then we had Easter lunch at Scott's cousin's house where Addison and her cousin, Chloe got to hunt eggs... several times! The girls kept demanding that the adults hide the eggs over and over again so that they could hunt them. It was really cute!
The Easter holiday kicked off our week long Spring Break this year. With Easter being so late in the year, Scott and I desperately needed a break from school. We were super productive with our Spring Break and did LOTS of work around the house. Scott and his dad managed to do a ton of yardwork and landscaping, while Addison and I managed to get out and set up all the baby stuff and the nursery. Needless to say, we are now officially prepared if Baby Weaver #2 makes an early appearance. Only 5 more weeks to go before we will be a family of four!
During the Spring Break, I also helped some of my teacher friends chaperone a field trip to Washington, DC for two days. We took about 30 high school students to DC, some of them for the first time ever! It was a fun, yet exhausting trip! Scott held down the fort at home and got to play Mr. Mom with Addison for two and half days... good job daddy!
Finally, we finished our Spring Break with the Apple Blossom festivities in Winchester. This was Addison's first Apple Blossom and she loved it! For those of you who don't know what Apple Blossom is, it's a big, annual festival in Winchester that draws in tons of big attractions... two big parades, the circus, a carnival, a big craft show, concerts, parties, etc. Basically the entire town shuts down (businesses, schools, etc) and it's one big party for four days! Addison's special treat from Nana was tickets to the circus! She was absolutely in shock for most of the circus... I don't think she could really believe she was seeing a real life elephant or tiger! She even went to school a few days after this and had to tell all her teachers about the circus and tigers... it really left an impression on her.
So that's pretty much what's been happening with the Weaver's lately. Now we are just counting down the days until the school year is over and waiting to see when the next little Weaver is going to grace us with her presence. Enjoy the photos and videos from the past few weeks!
