The Big Snow of '09!

The first big snowfall of the year (well, the first big snowfall in about 15 years to be exact) came on Dec. 18th this year. It snowed most of the afternoon and evening, and by morning, we had 18 inches of wonderful snow on the ground! Of course this was the first time Addison had seen snow, so it was a big event for her. After her morning nap, we decided to bundle her up and take her out,(Scott said she looked like the little brother from "A Christmas Story" because I put so much clothing on her.) As many could probably guess, an 11 month old who is barely 30 inches tall didn't fare too well in 18 inches of cold, wet snow. She took it all in at first, but after a few minutes, the meltdown began and she was not a happy camper. After taking a few pictures and some video footage we called it a day for the snow adventure. All that time and effort to bundle her up and we were only outside for 20 minutes. Ahh, the joy of parenthood!
