We're Still Here!!!

Whew, what a busy month it has been! The Weaver Family has definitely had quite a bit going on lately, hence the reason it's been over a month since the last blog update! Despite the hectic schedules lately, we are all doing great.
At the beginning of August, Scott began another year as the Head Football Coach at our high school, so we are now back in the throws of being a football family. This means lots of long days (and nights!) for Scott with practices, games, film sessions, etc. It also means that the girls are getting their football fix. Addison LOVES going to daddy's games... she has several new friends this year that come to the games as well, so it is very much a social event for her. Avery had a rough first experience with football and really did not care for the cheering crowds and loud band. She was pretty traumatized by her first football game. Last night we tried again and she did MUCH better. I think she is getting more acclimated to loud sounds and lots of people being around. We are now in our third week of the season and our record is 2 - 1.
Aside from football, we have had several other things on our plate. Both of the girls started back at Montessori school last week. Addison has now moved up to the "big kid" room as she calls it (3 - 5 year olds) and loves it! She adores her new teacher, Ms. Vicki, and has a blast with all the new friends she is making. Addison will also have the opportunity to attend music classes once a week while she is at school... she is really looking forward to this. Avery is in the baby room and seems to be adjusting pretty well. She also seems to have eyes for all of the boy babies in the room : ) She will be three months old on the 15th and has certainly grown like a weed lately! At her two month check up she was already weighing in at 11 pounds, so I'm sure by now she is close to 12 pounds.
As for me, I am just trying to get into the swing of things at school. I co-sponsor the Senior Class at my high school and we are in charge of the Homecoming festivities which will be this coming week, so needless to say, I am just a little bit busy with planning for that, teaching my classes, and keeping up with two munchkins!
